This story began with a dog named Spike. Spike was not able to navigate the stairs, so a runner was the solution. The challenge was that the house had three sets of stairs with a total of 10 turns. The customer also needed two hallway runners to match. Finding someone who could fabricate this proved to be the challenge. Matt H. called upon The Rug Depot to see if it was anything that we could handle and if we could do it without seeing the house, for the house was in Virginia. Of course, we said we could certainly handle this job! Numerous emails and phone calls were exchanged. Dimensions agreed upon and a product was chosen. Templates were sent in. The 10 mitered turns were fabricated by The Rug Depot and sent to the customer in Virginia. We packaged each stairway separately with each piece labeled, for it would be overwhelming once packaging everything, to know what piece went where! The customer was very happy with the workmanship.

Hi Meg, We received the first two shipments. We’ve only opened up one of the hallway runners so far, but it looks great!

After the installation, The installation took about two days, but everything looks great! Here are some photos. The last one has spike in it – he’s the whole reason we got these. Thanks again for all of your help Meg, Matt H.
